Hours At A Cybercafe

It has been more than a year since I last visited a typical housing estate cybercafe. My last impression of a cybercafe was a place with lots of noise from the then-famous Counter Strike's bang-bangs and boom-booms and the shoutings of "fire in the hole"! The cafe itself was then very much a smoke chamber with literally everyone, mainly youths and youngsters, smoking their way to an early death.
-
But as I stepped into one a few nights ago and then again now, I am extremely pleased to find that the atmosphere at these outlets have drastically changed. For one, and most important of all, it is no longer a smoke chamber. Smoking is strictly prohibited in cybercafes! Where I am now, there is absolutely no trace of smoke whatsoever. For those who must take a puff, they do it outside.
-
Then comes the noise...there is none now! No more loudspeakers with subwoofers shouting and blasting all the way from all corners of the outlet. Apparently nowadays, all computers are fitted with headphones and no more computer loudspeakers! So now, besides occassional shouts of excitement from some players and occassional cursings of "tius" and "niah-mahs", there is really no more bang-bangs and boom-booms from the computers. All you generally hear now are keyboard key strokes and quick clicks of the mice (mouses?).
-
Most "clients" here are here for Dota or some sort of warcraft thingy, while a minority are here for some online arcade games and perhaps an even more minority few are here for the internet use!
-
On another note, the "dinner" is tonite! 6:30pm at The Grand Ballroom, Palace Of The Golden Horses hotel. This marks the official launching of a mega project where I am directly involved. Once launched, the first tranch of project funds will be released early next week and will go on for exactly a year. Means, if everything goes well, I will be busy next week onwards for at least 12 months. Thats good news cause I will be handsomely paid. Woohoo! My rough estimation of the entire project costing is around RM80 billion.
-
I have just been informed that photography is allowed tonight. So, I will bring along my trusty camera gears for some memorable pictures. Will try to upload an article and pics of tonite's event soon.
-
Times up, third hour coming up liao! Wish me luck tonight!

ERV : God bless? Yeah, I really need God's blessing.

The project was launched together with a series of another huge project in Kelantan. But the launch seem rather simple and does not reflect its RM95 billion price tag!

They also announced that the release of the first tranch of payment has been postponed to April 14 instead of today (April 6).

Sigh. Wait again lor.
