Scandinavia

I suddenly want to visit Scandinavia. I saw on TV (Discovery Traveller) beautiful scenic views of the landscapes. Absolutey breathtaking! I see cool fresh air, relaxing surroundings, clean environments, wine and coffee, great people, fantastic photo opportunities, etc.

Scandinavia is a historical and geographical region centred on the Scandinavian Peninsula in Northern Europe, generally considered to consist of the kingdoms of Norway, Sweden and Denmark, with some sources also including the nations of Finland and Iceland as well.

There are just too many beautiful pictures to show about Scandinavia. Just do a Google search and check out the place yourself. I am sure you would love it too. Meanwhile, here are just a few to start off with.

Saturdays

Tomorrow is a Saturday! And I am beginning to love my Saturdays!

Last time, my Saturdays are mostly, if not always, filled with events and shoots. I never got to see how the afternoon is like on a Saturday nor smell the Saturday breeze. I also never actually got to enjoy the "Saturday nite fever"!!!

But recently, this last few months, my shooting jobs have been scarce and frankly that is not very much of a good news. It simply means jobs are getting less. But...I get to see the Saturday fuzz and buzz, I get to drive down town for a slow late lunch and witness the Saturday people hanging out on their off day. It is kinda interesting just to see how people come in the drooves and have a great time at least that once a week.

A few months ago, when my Saturday jobs got lesser and lesser, I never knew how to spend my once-upon-a-time busy Saturdays. I was lost and was feeling restless not having anything "real" to do. But I have now slowly adapted myself in making my Saturday...my offday!!!

I wake up late on a Saturday, have a slow lunch and switch my mind off from work. Watch a DVD or maybe head down town to grab a few more new titles or maybe relax over a cup of latte at Starbucks. Surf the net, read some blogs and catch up with my books (currently reading Joseph Prince's "Destined To Reign").

Two Great Books

I recently got two new great books to read. The frst one, Destined To Reign by Joseph Prince was given to me as a birthday present while the second book, Donald Trump by Gwenda Blair was purchased at a 50% bargain from Popular Book Store.

DESTINED TO REIGN by Joseph Prince

Talks about living a victorious life by grace, fully destined to reign. Joseph Prince is the Senior Pastor of one of Singapore's strongest church, The New Creatiion Church with a membership of a whooping 15,000 plus!

DONALD TRUMP by Gwenda Blair

An autobiography of the master apprentice, Donald Trump of the famous TV show "The Apprentice". This book talks about how Donald Trump made it to success through real estate.

Beauty 8 Expo - Faces

Continuing from previous post, here are some "faces" from the exhibition. Some are weird, some are creative, some are works of meticulous craftsmanship while some are plain art. I personally shot over 3,000 images over the last 4 days.

Beauty 8 Expo - The Exhibition

This has been a rather exciting week as I was covering the Beauty 8 Expo at PWTC together with Babyboss Pictures junior photographer, Sandra Wong. I was commissioned as the official photographer for the expo and thus, have to cover literally every bit and corner of the venues, Hussein Onn Hall A, Tun Razak Hall 1 and 2.

The event itself was pretty interesting despite the extremely low pay (approximately 55% below my normal chargable rate). Lots of models to feast the eyes upon. Naturally, it was not as busy and jam-packed as the annually renowned PC Fair.
